TALCB Meeting on Friday
The Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) met Friday, August 7, 2026, at 9 a.m. The meeting included reports from the Board’s committees, staff updates on agency operations and statistical data, and a presentation from The Appraisal Foundation regarding the State Harmonization Task Force, updates on the appraisal industry, and the Appraiser Qualifications Board’s Second Exposure Draft.
The Board also considered proposed amendments to 22 TAC Chapter 159 related to appraisal management companies, including definitions, advisory committee requirements, exemptions, fees, registration requirements, appraiser panels and disciplinary guidelines; and proposed amendments to 22 TAC §153.5 related to fees.
Additional agenda items included discussion of the TALCB fiscal year 2027 budget, Budget and Financial Administration Policy, and Investment Policy; possible topics for the November workshop; updates on fiscal year 2026 internal audits and the fiscal year 2027 Internal Audit Plan; and a report on the application of Appraisal Subcommittee grant funds.
